Pros

Eugenio and Mattias are fantastic. Positive, intelligent founders and leaders. Great people to work with who are very smart and overall positive. For a company at its stage, looking ahead wisely to building an appropriate data infrastructure and other infrastructure items needed at a big boy company. A real focus on the culture and values Very supportive of learning and development via conferences or classes. It is very easy to get funding for anything that will help you get better at your job.

Cons

The rest of the senior leadership team. A boys club (with exception to the CISO) who will quickly ostracize you the first time something doesn't go right. One member is more interested in making a name for themselves in the tech world on social media rather than trying to grow into a leader. The remote work culture, while amazing on the surface, has a big drawback if you are not in Seattle, BA, or London. You are at a complete disadvantage from your peers who do get to work together in one of the offices. A murky product roadmap. While the product is nice for developers, competing long-term in this market is going to be tough, and Okta has tons of cash.

Pros

With just under a year at Auth0, I think I can sum up my experience without much reservation. - Fantastic culture. And I mean it. It goes way beyond published "company values" (which I'm always skeptical about anyway). This particular group of people truly give a sh*t about what they do, how they do it, both at work and in life. - Genuinely inclusive, supportive, diverse environment based on trust and encouragement. - You set for growth without boundaries, and encouraged to explore what you want to do within the company regardless of your current role. Obviously, you don't have to if you're happy with your position, but even if you're just curious, you have every resource at your disposal. - Amazing people. And I'm not saying it lightly. One of the core hiring principles is "No a*sholes" and it makes a huge difference in who gets to work here. - 100% transparent leadership, who stands by everything they talk about. And again, I mean it. There are no layers between you and senior leadership if you want to speak up. It is not uncommon for the leadership to reach out for honest feedback. Company performance (including financials) is available in real-time. Bad news are shared straight without dancing around. - Genuine care for employees well-being that goes not only vertically from the leadership, but also horizontally (your teammates got your back). You are seen as a unique person who works at Auth0, not as an Auth0 employee with some life outside of work. - A ton of various internal learning opportunities (sessions, trainings, tutorials, Q&As) in a "choose your own adventure" way. No matter what role you're in, everything is open and available to those interested. - Strong stance on civil justice, human rights, environment. Unapologetic and always putting money where company's mouth is, so to speak. - Strong support for open source community and ample opportunities to contribute I can probably go on for a while, but the point is that with very little effort and all the support you may need, you can turn this from a promising job into an opportunity of a lifetime.

Cons

- Sometimes certain organizational areas experience more change then some are comfortable with. - Some internal processes are still work in progress and present some uncertainty (which may also be a "pro": it's easy and encouraged to get involved in defining and refining these processes). - Compensation could be viewed as a bit "middle-of-the-road", but honestly, it's balanced out by actual work-life balance and a ton of flexibility (from remote-first work to incredibly flexible time-off policy) - You have to constantly learn. Personally, I'd put it as a pro, but want others to be aware: it's not a place to lean back and relax milking whatever experience and skills you already have. You will have to keep up with a fast growing product and learn new things constantly.
