      Bait and Switch

      None that I can think of.

      Cons

      They advertise this is an account manager position, then proceed to have you doing door-to-door sales and say it's to learn a product when in actuality it is to have feet on the ground generating leads which is in itself archaic. You are not reimbursed for travel and it's a turn and burn way of generating leads (aka high turn over). If they want door-to-door sales persons they should note that in the job description. However, they know that the amount of people applying would decrease dramatically. Basically this is the old bait and switch and people should be weary of that. Time is money and I don't like mine being wasted.

      Not What It’s Advertised

      Pros

      The people are charismatic. You get to travel to different parts of the state.

      Cons

      Work life balance is difficult. Your required to work 6 days per week. The job you take on is commission only. The job adverts are lies, you’ll be a door to door salesman, not an account manager. There are no real benefits until management. High turnover rate. To travel, you have to use your own car, or metro, and don’t get mileage compensation or reimbursement for the gas you spend. You’re on your feet all day long. You rarely get to sit down. Toxic positivity and hustle culture. Get taught unethical practices for sales and business.
