Pros

1. Company used to have a decent onboarding experience & employee engagement for new peeps coming in. Haven't seen much of it in the last 6 months. 2. Helpful IT & Operations management team. Moving to a new place was a breeze with their assistance. 3. Had an amazing time working with the DevOps team. Kudos! #WillNeverForgetRuleNo2

Cons

4. Company culture is all gimmick & no play. Have encountered multiple peeps during my tenure who joined the company because of what was sold to them in terms of work culture, learning curve, and exposure one gets. But once you get there after an exceptionally long interview process, you'd soon realized that it's just the same as any other startup out there if not the crushing in these aspects. 5. The company pivoted in 2019 without taking the entire team into confidence. Have seen folks working day and night for months without a break. Although it was the right time to pivot, some empathy towards folks who were let go off would have helped. 6. Had a good run working with the middle management but the influence from 7- 8 Veterans is making the company toxic in terms of work culture. They control every aspect of things and the company's value usually doesn't apply to them. 7. Many folks left (or got fired) in recent times - the company started downscaling and the reasons were ambiguous. 8. Off boarding process is a perk given to selected favorites. In the eye of management, not everyone deserves that no matter how hard they have worked during their tenure. 9. Company has taken various initiatives to create a feedback mechanism to improve the efficiency of every team member. But these feedback are often subjective, hence poorly reflected on, and is often linked to one's variable salary pay. + this mechanism is non-existent for top management. 10. The salary offered is not competitive and as per industry standards. You do get a team of professionals to work with, but you (along with them) would be treated as commodities rather than assets.

Pros

You can come in to office at 6pm. Most of us slogged, 7 days a week while some ( the founders pets) could choose to just chill out in the "chill room"

Cons

One woman show The founders - especially one of them is really interfering. It is only her ideas and her ideas which should be executed Being a non data and non tech person, she still drives both in a direction less manner

I feel sad reading this. We have always tried to establish an open culture where everyone is treated equally, and people, regardless of everything else, have equal say in how things are done. While our co-founders jump in at times to brainstorm with different teams in an effort to deliver the best result (just like everyone else), everyone's opinion is respected and given due consideration. That being said, we don't suffer fools at SocialCops easily — which means that if you say something that doesn't make sense, we're probably going to be pretty straightforward about it and tell you that. (Being straightforward is one of our core values.) If that's not something you're comfortable with, then SocialCops is not the right place for you. I'm surprised to hear your comment on you “slogging” while others chose to chill out. In fact, all our systems are completely open internally — our emails to clients are transparent, our support tools are open, our hiring ATS is open, our sales CRM is open, our documents are open. This means that pretty much anyone can see what you've been doing at work! The intent of all this is to reduce “power” dynamics and ensure that a 16-year-old can walk up to anyone and tell them that they are doing it all wrong. :) An intern once walked up to one of our most experienced engineers and said that he thought we were doing something completely wrong. This is a story that is spoken with pride at SocialCops, and that intern works with us full-time now! All of this means that honestly, there isn't any room for favoritism. Only your work can truly speak for you. Ultimately, working at SocialCops is more than “just a job” and it isn't for everyone. Often, we figure out if folks aren't culture fits within the first few months of them joining us, and we work to ensure that they find another organization where they will be more comfortable. I really hope that you're now at a place that is the right fit for you!

Pros

Few friendly co workers and few learning opportunities

Cons

1. The Lady co-founder drives any and every decisions, eventhough she has no technical knowledge. There is absolutely no creative freedom. The biggest sham of all is the so called no management structure. Both Cofounders do minimal work but expect you to put in 100% or even more. 2. Force you to write good reviews in Quora. They even use fake Twitter and FB id's to spike up their follower count. 3. Cofounders lie to the team all the time about new projects esp govt one's but they never materialise. 4. All those rosy quora posts or blog are just absolute sham. Believe me I have written a few of them. Just PR stunts! 5. Townhall meetings are just waste of time! P.S. all the rosy stuffs which you might find online about their work and even hiring process is stolen from other startups or MNC. Nothing in there is original except your effort to solve critical issues.

It saddens me deeply to read this. We have always tried to establish an open culture where everyone has a say in how things are done. While our co-founders (like everyone else in the team) dive in to give their inputs, I do not agree with what is stated here. At SocialCops, no voice holds more weight than another, whether it's the co-founder or an intern. A 16-year-old intern might walk up to you and criticize your work (this has actually happened!), and you'll just have to consider that just like any other feedback you might get. Being straightforward is one of our core values — and we're aware that it might not be something that everyone can handle. All potential project and client conversations that our Sales & Strategy team has are open to everyone on the team due to our email transparency policy. So the question of the co-founders “lying” about potential government projects that don't materialize doesn't even arise. Townhall meetings are a VERY core part of our culture and we firmly believe in their importance. I'm sorry you don't feel the same. Ultimately, working at SocialCops isn't for everyone. Often, we figure out folks who aren't culture fits within the first few months of them joining us, and we find ways to ensure that they find another organization where they might be more comfortable. I really hope that you're now at a place that is the right fit for you! On a separate note, we are always looking to better our processes and culture. The feedback you seem to have is very unlike any feedback we've received in any of our exit interviews. This is making it hard for us to identify what we could have done better to improve your experience at SocialCops. If you have specific instances that might help shed some light on your feedback, it would be great if you can email us at talent@socialcops.com. P.S. We have never forced anyone to write a Quora review. We don't have “fake” Facebook or Twitter accounts that follow us. These are openly verifiable facts. If you feel so strongly about this Quora review we “forced” you to write as a “PR stunt”, please feel free to delete it. Quora is an open platform that you surely used it from one of your personal IDs. :)
