Pros

The building and workstations are nice. There is paid parking. There is a cafeteria but it is extremely pricey.

Cons

This is not a good place to work for the pay. They promote by age not by knowledge or skills. So if you are young this is the place for you. They think that personality traits are important and test you for that which is ridiculous as that can change on any given day. They have a handbook but the rules only apply to certain people. The benefits get worse every year and it truly is wellness or die. They force you to fill out surveys on the company but only want good reviews. It us not really one of the best places to work in Lincoln NE. That is one of those "suggested" surveys. Their management is absolutely terrible and not in just the department where I was working. They spend thousands of dollars on art work and give two percent raises.

At first it was a great company to work for- not anymore

Pros

Newer/nice building for the employees who had no choice but to work on site.

Cons

Micro-managing. Even though someone could work more efficient from home, meet numbers, etc it didn’t matter only if you worked outside of city limits. It should be all or none in that aspect. Low pay- can’t even keep up with cost of living anymore.

Pros

Free parking Nice building with nice security Decent amount of paid time off That pretty much covers it

Cons

If you have a personal life this job is not for you. -Micromanaging is horrible. -The health insurance is expensive and not good -Only certain people were asked to work from home and get special treatment while others who work in the office are watched like a hawk all day. -New employees get treated better than folks who have worked there for years. -If you ask to work from home due to a sick child or family member the answer is absolutely NO and they will not budge. They sent out a survey during the pandemic asking who wanted to stay remote. 95% of employees stated they would like to stay home. Assurity turned a blind eye and could have cared less making people come into the office. They only offered remote work to employees who live outside of Lincoln which is completely unfair. They expect you to work super hard with zero reward. -If you get COVID at work they will tell you to keep your mouth shut and to not tell anyone. -Assurity has not upgraded their pay scale in years. Many people are underpaid and can barely keep up with the cost of living.
