The Best Place to Work in Cincinatti

Pros

The company is very engaged with their employees development, and a lot of focus has been placed on culture and diversity. I think a lot of companies use those words as buzz words, but the fact of the matter is this company, despite some challenges, has absolutely floored me with kindness. Recently a new CEO was appointed internally, and I couldn't imagine a better fit for the organization. Mark Veratti is a super star, and really gets it. It looks like glassdoor is still showing the old CEO, which is why I didnt give a rating. Flexible working hours Great Pay Great Benefits Great People Great Culture Challenging Work and Engaging Work I couldn't be happier with an employer.

Cons

There are none that I can think of at the moment.

Pros

Started as a great place to work. Management trusted and empowered MSCs. Great product and sales has done a great job of growing Genesight year over year. It isn't the MSCs job to increase reimbursement, although we definitely try to help.

Cons

Myriad took over in August of 2016. For almost a full year, things moved along very well. There were some changes and change is to be expected. But the last month has been a complete 180 degree turn and I talk to MSCs every day that are petrified of the changes coming. Challenger? Countless emails with hours and hours of pre-work for a meeting? Bonus plans were the designers don't seem to understand that #1 and #2 of importance in incentivizing reps is to pay them in a TIMELY and ACCURATE fashion. We are 1/2 way through the quarter without even having updated dashboards. Now, we are only paid every quarter AND the payouts are almost a full 2 months behind the quarter end? Really? So whoever comes up with this plan really has no idea that paying a rep a bonus almost a full quarter behind the actual sales measurement is a terrible motivator?

Pros

Not big pharma , not a lot of reporting

Cons

Low pay, vehicle monitoring, pay goes down every year, benefits have gone down, very difficult to gain consistent momentum with prescribers, commission determined by which health plan the patient has ( out of your control), most doc’s feel they can get the same results via a quest lab, aprn’s Are the bread and butter but they don’t like to pay out on those orders. Calling on psych’s = not fun. No staff often, no front end, weird hours.

Assurex offers careers

Pros

I believe Assurex Health and GeneSight, its product, will be household names in the future. Working for this company not only allows you ground floor experience in a rapidly growing field, but also gives you the opportunity to work for a cause you can truly get behind. I have had jobs where my effort creates a "thing" that does not add value to the world. Each day's work that I put in here goes towards helping mental health patients. Assurex Health has a great culture. It has experienced exponential growth and managed to select the right candidates to keep the best of the best employed. I trust the leaders in the organization are taking us in the right direction. I trust that this company will be extremely successful. I have experienced this company value me through pay raises, promotions, stock options, and recognition within my group. They offer great health insurance, a free community center membership, and value their employees each day by offering free drinks, company sponsored bi-monthly luncheons, and company picnics and parties. With each event, the leadership team shares the company's progress, struggles, and vision. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

Cons

My only complaint is that current employees hold a spot here that do not see the promise of this company and how it values them.

Pros

I worked part-time at Assurex Health in the lab department. Very clique' department and only those friends with certain upper management will be provided a salary a family can live on. They provide free membership to the Mason Community Center, free soft drinks and fruit juices, and sometimes paid company lunches during meetings. This is mostly a data collection management company and not a mental illness treatment pharmaceutical company. They basically test for DNA structures to determine best mental illness medications for an individual which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. No guarantee their information improve the lives of others. However, if insurance didn't cover the initial costs, it fell back on the families to pay the expensive testing out of pocket which most families have already spent trying to keep their loved ones alive with multiple therapies throughout the country.

Cons

I would like to have seen this company perform more functions and duties to assist patients and families struggling with daily issues surrounding mental illness. They do support NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness); however, I didn't see the benefits this provided to families and patients.
