      Amazing people, crazy pace of growth

      Pros

      Truly wonderful team of people. One of the best I've ever been around, no matter who you talk to. Founders are genuinely good dudes. Both super driven but also have hearts.

      Cons

      Work life balance will need to be addressed as we grow. Feels like what we need to do now, but can't sustain forever.

      Fast-Paced and Mission-Driven

      Pros

      Incredible growth, smart teammates and a great mission that also aligns well with a massive market opportunity. It is a high-performance environment, but it is deeply collaborative; if you are willing to communicate and put in the effort, you will find a lot of people ready to help you succeed.

      Cons

      If you are looking for a place to coast or need to be micromanaged to know what to do next, this probably isn't right for you. The pace can be intense, but it is rewarding for the right type of person.

      Great cause, lotta ownership, some growing pains

      Pros

      As an Engineer you get lotta ownership early — and most of us really enjoy it. You recognize a problem, you go for it. Really optimized for builder time, almost no meetings. Vibez are upbeat, friendly, everyone cares to good job and people like to come to the office to jam together!

      Cons

      Deadliness are real, and can lead to some long evenings. That said the expectations on pace were very clear upfront, which I agreed to, and I actually really like what I do in my day-to-day as my accelarated learning is worth the accelerated aging.

      Thank you for sharing this and for being part of Assort. Early ownership and proximity to real problems are very intentional here, especially in engineering. When you’re building in a space where every patient journey and provider workflow is different, clarity often gets created in real time. As we’ve grown quickly, we’re investing in more structure and documentation so teams can stay focused on solving meaningful problems without unnecessary friction.
