Pros

he environment at FuturePlan is welcoming, and the management team is supportive, positive, and engaging. The teams are collaborative and well-connected, consistently working together on projects and seeking ways to improve processes and enhance client satisfaction. The work-life balance is excellent, and since joining FuturePlan, I have had the opportunity to pursue continuing education and professional development throughout the year, with strong support from my management team. Overall, the management style fosters growth, collaboration, and a positive work experienc

Cons

While I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a negative, there were some challenges during the onboarding process. I ultimately had the opportunity to interact with multiple departments, which helped me understand how different areas of the organization operate. That exposure was valuable and supported my ability to acclimate to my role. However, navigating the various systems and programs needed for my position was somewhat challenging at first. Determining which tools I needed, obtaining access, and tracking down passwords required additional effort. For example, setting up Paymentus, receiving my phone number, and gaining access to platforms like Box and other systems took time and coordination. That said, the process of connecting with different teams along the way was beneficial. It helped me learn more about the organization and contributed positively to my overall onboarding experience.

Pros

Team members/colleagues made work a little more manageable and were always very helpful and knowledgeable. There was a lot of flexibility in work/life balance because things were remote.

Cons

Needs to improve processes and management. Things are constantly changing and it feels like there is a lack of stability. Should take in more feedback from employees.

Pros

Exceptional management - My manager is unequivocally the best manager I've had to date. On top of that, their manager is also great. I just feel completely supported from all directions. I can't speak for every other manager, but it's a good sign, in my opinion. Great people - I work with some very intelligent and kind people that are always willing to help out to keep the client happy. Continuing Education - Not only do they cover all ASPPA exams and membership fees but they have a ridiculous amount of continuing education webinars that are held on their dime, almost weekly. In not even a year, I have probably gotten roughly 40% of my necessary credits with another 20 months until they are even due. Flexible Hours- While we technically have a schedule, management is very lax about time as long as you work your full 40 hours and clients are happy. Understand that there is software that displays what you work, but it's never really even looked at unless there are signs of abusing your time.

Cons

Average benefits- The benefits are meh. They're not terrible by any means but they're also not amazing. 19 days of PTO to start and that includes everything (sick, personal, etc) however they do allow you to purchase an additional 5 days which is pretty great. Health benefits are slightly above average. I unfortunately had to go from PPO at my last employer, to HDHP here because I just didn't think the coverage justified the cost or benefits. Tech issues- Some of the tech is incredibly frustrating. I won't get too specific but we have certain programs we have to use that feel archaic and cause more headache than anything. I know this is something that is being slowly improved though, so I am trying to be patient. Overwhelming Workload- I'll be honest, there is an overwhelming amount of work sometimes. Especially during the big compliance seasons. Although management won't flat out tell you that you have to work unpaid overtime, the expectation is kinda there. Because at the end of the day if the work doesn't get done during regular hours, and you don't work extra, then the work doesn't get done and who is ultimately responsible for that? Nevertheless, when a company has management that treats their staff right, you're willing to put in extra hours sometimes. And that's how I feel about my current situation. Regardless, it's not a majority of the time situation, just during peak seasons. Otherwise, it's pretty steady with the occasional late night.
