Welcoming team and meaningful projects, with minor delays
Pros
The team is genuinely welcoming and collaborative, especially Adam and Jakob who made the technical onboarding smooth. I get to work on meaningful projects like the OpenTelemetry Collector integration, and there is real ownership from day one. The remote culture works well, and people share context openly without making you feel lost. Also, being based in New York while supporting US government customers adds a nice layer of impact to the work.
Cons
The time zone difference with Poland can be tricky for real time syncs, but it is manageable with good async communication. Some internal processes like CI permissions and ECR access can slow things down, but the team is responsive to unblocking. Dev cluster stability occasionally interrupts E2E testing, which is frustrating but not a deal breaker.
