      Constant pressure and OT, not great for life work balance. Guidance from seniors left a lot to be desired.

      Igloo is a great place to work

      - I have autonomy to make decisions that are within the scope of my role - The work I perform is interesting - My Manager assigns me work that aligns with my career goals - Work life balance is exceptional - 1/2 day summer Fridays that start in May, all US and CDN stat holidays, wellness benefit, etc -Flexible work - option to work from home, in-office or a combination of both. Also, we have the ability to flex our start and end times to a schedule that best suits our needs.

      ▫️Management in my team is great, this is my first time working for a Company this big and I didn't expect this human-first approach ▫️Zero micromanagement, your voice is heard and appreciated ▫️Great benefits, including half Fridays and LinkedIn learning ▫️Workplace culture and diversity is amazing

      ▫️Being a global company makes difficult to have face-to-face time with the immediate team. I miss a good all hands on deck to tackle projects left and right

      Performance is not rewarded

      - The work/life balance is fantastic. The company is fully remote for the indefinite future (aside from a few sales and executive positions). - Most employees are fantastic and lovely to be around. (there are a few bad apples who remain as a byproduct of nepotism)

      Cons

      - Performance is not rewarded or celebrated. If you want to excel, you'll need to play politics. If you do a great job, your work and achievements may go unnoticed. This can lead to intense demotivation and burnout - Middle management and upper management are very disconnected from their individual contributors. - There is heavy favoritism between managers and their employees - Poor feedback loops. Managers do not provide sufficient feedback or plans of action for their employees, which causes growth stagnation - Compensation is just below average market rates

      Decent benefits, decent pay, trying hard to encourage work/life balance and improve employee engagement. The people are good people who care a lot and want to help and do a good job.

      Cons

      Priorities, leadership and organizations are often changing, and fewer people are being asked to do more work. People are tired and don't have the energy to be engaged.

Along with other growing tech companies, sometimes priorities need to be adjusted to reach our goals, and releasing a new product comes with its share of excitement, obstacles and at times, change of immediate priorities. We are confident in the path ahead and know we will get there because of hard working Iglooites such as yourself. As you mentioned, we do have a wellness program focusing on providing employees with a positive work/life balance. This includes; two additional personal days, half day Fridays all summer long, and 5 Igloo days. We hope that you take advantage of these opportunities as a time to rest and spend time with friends and family. As a current employee we also encourage you to keep lines of communication open with your leader and our People & Culture team. We want to ensure we are working with employees on their goals that, though may be stretched, are attainable.
