Andrews Distributing is a family-oriented company that values talent and hard work.
Pros
-Upward Mobility I started with Andrews as a merchandiser a little over a year ago. In that year I have been given multiple opportunities to develop my skills past my current role and take on greater challenges. My coaches and supervisors have given me the ability to take responsibility for my career growth, while also giving me valuable training and insight along the way. In the past year this has led first to a promotion to Strategic Space Specialist, and recently to a promotion to my current role of Market Intelligence Analyst. I believe wholeheartedly that this company is full of good leaders who want to help others grow their careers. -Family Atmosphere One of my first introductions to Andrews Distributing was reading reviews on this website. One of the words that I saw thrown around a lot was "family", which struck me as something that everyone says about a company they like working for. What I didn't realize was how integral the value of family is to the nature of this company. Top level leadership promotes the necessity of peace in the home to creating a workplace of integrity and happiness. The people I see every day in the office have become welcome additions to my family. -Community In the time before I came to Andrews, it was clear that to my previous employers I was a number on a sheet of paper that just happened to make them money. The ones in charge of things couldn't care less about me as a person. Things at Andrews couldn't be more the opposite. I have seen more acts of community, charity, and friendship in my year with Andrews than in all my previous job experience combined. The people that work here are happy to come in to work because they know their team will always be there for them. I am happy to get up in the morning and come to work, which is something I never dreamed was possible. I could honestly list reasons to work at Andrews all day, but I'll let your mind fill in the blanks. Andrews is a fantastic place to work, and I couldn't be happier that I get the opportunity to grow my career here.
Cons
-Facial Hair Policy It was honestly difficult to think of anything to add as a Con. The one drawback I've found is the banning of beards throughout the company. I understand the essential nature of appearance to business, and that beards can go wrong in many ways, but I miss having my beard some days. Nevertheless, I'll give it up for the foreseeable future.
