Pros

Altice USA has three revenue streams: revenues generated from fees paid for video, data, and voice services; from fees paid for installation of equipment; and from fees paid by third parties for advertising services rendered.

Cons

Massive layoffs. Using 3rd party call centers to support customer needs.

Great Company To Work For

Pros

Company Values, including Diversity and Inclusion. Competitive pay structure and benefits. Forward thinking technology. Team environment.

Cons

I truly do not have anything negative to say. Working at Altice was the greatest time of my professional life. Thanks to Covid, there were massive layoffs. So, if there is one Con, it's the wish that this never occurred.

Pros

Great health, dental, and vision offers, with matching 401K. Amazing and thorough training and lots of opportunities for advancement

Cons

Leadership encouraged “white lies” to sell more products, layoffs were conducted via “letter-in-the-mail” with no notice or warning, customer service agents are not permitted to help with anything g other than paying bills. All billing issues and technical support issues have to be handled through call center which is very frustrating for customers, leading to lots of complaints that had to be managed and no solution to offer. All call center agents are outsourced outside of USA so difficult to understand adding to more frustration for the customer. Sales poaching happened often between call center, retail, and door-to-door.

Dead end

Pros

Free cable if you live in the Optimum footprint, health is decent. I have a set schedule so this isnt flexible so this way I can plan stuff from a month from now. Work clothes given but use to be better pants from 5.11 which had lots of pockets, held up better, and flexible. Now they have dickies which are not as good as materials

Cons

Since it was bought out in june 2016 from cablevision, medical costs soared, lots of layoffs, buyouts for older employees who wanted, pay not worth compared to verizon or spectrum. Moving up a job grade is difficult with only 1 to 10% pay increase. Once you get maxed out in your dept their is little room to move if at all. Sick days were cut yearly bonus, also 401k year end contribution of around 2 to 3% for getting rid of the pension back in 2013. Also, got rid of a buyout of any sick or personal days not used. So use it or lose it. Multiple depts shops have formed unions in response to losing this and putting extreme pressure on numbers and fear of losing more.
