Sexual harrassment and gender inequality promoted

Pros

Facilities, functions, pay and bonus (if they decide to actually pay it regardless of targets being hit)

Cons

If you are a female be prepared to have little to no career advancment, HR are unhelpful and nurture the boys club mentality taking no action when a whole team of women working for 3+ years are systematically performance managed out with ridiculous new targets when new male managment takes over and replaces the whole team twice in 6mnths (bad for customer service). Sexual harrassment is ignored even if its in writing via work place email.

Pros

Salary packages, office environment is clean, tidy and well organised. Free drinks in the kitchen. Some really talented people in the organisation but unfortunately some are not recognised as they would be elsewhere.

Cons

HR are that desperate to perpetuate the myth about the work environment that they put their own posts up - see "growing business". CEO has been very well coached by HR but now they have run out of ideas or impetus about how to promote the company values. Not sure what HR do except organise training courses where senior managers in glass houses throw stones at their employees. If you are not in the inner circle be very careful about having alternative views. Three strikes and you're out. Perceptions are everything with this company. Exec have the Company sale in their sights and are making hay while the sun shines.

Leave your morals at the door.....

Pros

Yes I must admit they have great salary packages and bonus payments, great kitchen facility (soft drinks, juice, tea, chips and more). Head office is in prime location at Circular Quay.

Cons

Although the salary package is high, to get your bonus payments you have to be "one of the butt kissers to managers". Do as your told, don't question anything, and forget about moral and ethical practises. Its a wonder why AEMO and the AER have not slapped a law suit on this company!!! In breach of the rules but everything is hush hush! Managers collaborate and work things to there advantage to manipulate things to suit their own needs. However employees that have talent and knowledge are trampled on and used across all departments. They have let go many people that have contributed so much time and effort into trying to make the company a success. Yes the bonus seems generous yet the way they calculate bonus payments means more most of your share is given to managers anyway. Women are selected to work for the company based on looks. Managers get away with talking down to staff and treating them badly as well as threatening them with their job. My advice is if you are looking to work in this organisation DON'T if you have any morals or want a job without any office politics. If you like to play the game then you will excel in this organisation.
