Pros

The people are undoubtedly the highlight of working at AirHelp. While my previous roles involved heavy cross-functional work, AirHelp is the first company where I have total confidence in the quality and reliability of my colleagues across every department. Deliverables are consistently high-quality and executed on time, which fosters a high-trust, efficient work environment. Beyond the talent, there is a lot of professional autonomy. If you are someone who likes to take initiative, the company gives you the space to own your projects and run with them. It’s an environment where good ideas are rewarded, and you are encouraged to solve problems rather than just wait for instructions. The culture is genuinely kind and collaborative; everyone is always willing to jump in and support one another, which makes the day-to-day experience very enjoyable. Despite being an international company, AH makes a real effort to bridge the distance through regular team off-sites and high-energy company-wide summits. It’s a fast-paced environment, but the support network is so strong that you never feel like you're navigating it alone.

Cons

As is common in a rapidly growing company, there are times when priorities and focus can shift quite rapidly. However, a key part of the culture here is that you are never left to tackle those shifts alone. There is a strong emphasis on collaborative problem-solving, which helps keep the team aligned even when the goalposts move. Additionally, some internal processes can take longer than others to navigate. While it’s easy to want everything to happen instantly, I’ve found that the pace is pretty standard for a global organization of this size. It’s a trade-off: you’re trading 'instant speed' for the compliance, security, and quality standards that allow us to operate effectively.

Pros

AirHelp offers a very supportive and friendly team environment, and that makes a real difference in day-to-day work. The company uses a modern technology stack and gives engineers opportunities to grow beyond a narrow role. One of the things I appreciate most is the flexibility to work across different areas, whether frontend, backend, or even DevOps, depending on your interests and goals. There are many chances to learn new technologies and gain hands-on experience in areas that may be new to you. In my case, I was interested in DevOps and had the opportunity to work on real DevOps tasks with support and mentoring, which helped me build practical knowledge. The same applies to the broader engineering stack as well. You can work with technologies such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Golang, and Python, which creates a strong learning environment. Another positive aspect is that the company is open to modern developer tools, including AI tools like Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code. These tools are encouraged as a way to improve productivity and support engineers, not to replace them. Overall, it feels like a place where people can develop, contribute, and expand their skills in meaningful ways.

Cons

From my personal experience, there are no major downsides worth highlighting. Like in any company, there are occasional small process or communication inefficiencies, but nothing unusual or significant enough to outweigh the positives.
