Pros

Salary Working hours Benefits Location Bonus

Cons

1) Bad culture and senior management - Every division has their own secret agenda instead of working towards its mission to serve the seniors of Singapore 2) Haven for Political drama - You are told to do based on who is requestor. Senior management sucking up to other Division chiefs or because they cannot offended. 3) It kills your passion - Employees lack passion or lose them after soaking in the culture Management created. People with passion and tries to fight the norms are blacklisted. Robots who do what they are told to do are well loved. 4) Not integrated within company - Divisons do not work with each other. Everyone thinks they are the experts 5) Senior Management form their own alliances and talk bad openly about others. 6) Bad Guidance - It is never management’s fault. They are quick to point their finger at the team for all mistakes. My ex DD created roadblocks but was never understanding when the timeline is delayed slightly due to his changes. At the end of the day, it is always our fault. 5) Unfairness - If the boss likes you, you can get away with murder, if not, he makes it obvious that you are his target. Staff on his good side gets alienated from the rest. 6) Bad ethics - A DD talks bad about his people to the rest of the team, trying to sow discord. There are stories of some senior management gossiping about his own team members to othe divisions. 7) Senior management doesn’t share insights. The boss might have an idea of what he wants, but will never tell you. You are left on your own to Guess what he wants. What kind of leader is waiting to pounce on own team for their mistakes?

Pros

Food can be found everywhere.

Cons

1. Mgmt has no leadership skills and unable to control some of the Division Heads. 2. Some Division heads expect their junior staff to suck up to other Heads from other Divisions. 3. Finance and HR colleagues are your business partners . You are expected to do everything yourself most of the time. Self-help. The business partners are ‘consultants’ only and nothing else . For example: Staff who asked for transfer had to get in touch with other Division Business partners with their CVs and follow up with the results of the applications themselves. 4. Junior staff are expected to buy lunches for the superiors, top mgmt, middle mgmt and junior mgmt etc. Amazed to see this practice in this 21st century . 5. Too many micromanaged superiors who always see themselves as superior than others. They expect the staff to reply emails but as superiors they dun reply emails . 6. Too many disorganized superiors who sent staff tons of emails with confusing instructions. No productivity at all. 7. Ever seen staff who worked under Super micro managed mgrs have to ask for transfer to another Division. 8. Superiors backmouth own subordinates in order to save their own skin.. superiors survival skills. 9. Performance is already confirmed by different Division Heads and CEOs during appraisal period. Staff have to be in TOP mgmt good books for better chance of promotion and good increments. 10. Finance policies is always on a case to case basis . A lot of red tapes too. Advice always late but when we are asked to submit information, we are expected to reply fast. Standard business reply timeline not followed here. 11. Many staff worked OT in this Organization. 12. Corporate Core values are not met. 13. Mgmt in own Division does not communicate , not to mention Company-wide communication. Doing duplicate work. 14. Scapegoats are common with this Company. 15. A totally not safe culture to talk when we are encouraged to talk and assured us it’s a safe place to talk.

They will only release it after criticising you. 6) Many new joiners left within 2 months and recruitment is very slow 7) Policies are way behind execution 8) Scapegoat culture 9) Favourtism culture 10) Secret relationship with management culture 11) Friends and relatives culture 12) Fake friendliness culture
