Pros

1. Excellent scalable design. RIBS framework was truly revolutionary and ahead of its time. Too bad that it did not get recognition in the open-source community, mainly due to lack of detailed documentation. Very good exposure to system-design due to custom implementation of web-servers, key-value pair stores and aggregation framework. 2. Very good and sensible investment in developer productivity: One of the very few completely autonomous CI/CD pipelines ever, better than most yahoo teams. 3. Very good engineering culture. Few of the brightest folks I have worked with. Excellent team spirit. 4. Respectable pay. Though not comparable to the top companies, they still manage to pay well. 5. Good environment: The San Mateo office was very homely and cozy. Though the Sunnyvale office is fancier in terms of facilities and space, the San Mateo office has a lot of memories.

Cons

1. Lack of roadmap: Since the last few years, adap.tv had been declared end-of-life multiple times by AOL and now Oath and lost many of the good people. 2. Complex code and lack of documentation: The documentation is non-existing and the code is messy with lack of unit-tests, code structure and design. 3. Poor resource utilization: Some people were too burdened and some people did not have work at all.
