Pros

The concept is good- just needs to benefit all

Cons

I was here less than three months and due to high staff turnover in the last year there have been some recent negative reviews which are valid and helpful for those who would like to work here. 90 wont change so instead have asked staff to write positive ones and also ask people to write 5 star reviews on facebook including freelancers- it's better to be honest than waste people's time/ livelihoods. I wish i knew! I left pretty quick as the whole vibe was off and no freelancers wanted to work for us which I have never had issues with before- I have heard really bad things in the film and TV world- the team manager was defensive and non existent. I got no training. Markup is huge on projects and the freelancers lose out. ? Just doesn't seem like good Kiwi Business and is embarrassing to all other NZ start ups trying to do good. We are trying to build the NZ film and TV industry and this company takes advantage of those who have worked hard. Freelancers are battling to make a living. 90 should be growing the industry and making it stronger- what an amazing piece of tech that would be.

Pros

You get to meet some fantastic freelancers around the world and get to know all about them, their cultures and their passions.

Cons

Global management is awful! They have no idea on how to run an organisation and no clue how to treat those around him who are trying to help build his company with the respect they deserve. They are however, highly skilled in treating staff like crap, drug and alcohol use and paying off 'problems' to remove them. Lower management within the regions is nonexistent and backwards. No one has your best interest at heart and will one day be your friend and the next walk all over you to ensure they come out looking good. There is in no way any opportunity to gain growth and support in your role and no motivation to want to do so. HR is also a nonexistent feature in this joke of a company. They claim to have no HR actually, so when staffing issues do arise, they don't have to take any responsibility and choose to take no notice or offer any help. If you value your own sanity and self-respect, then don’t work here. You will be promised the world and given zero in reality. It’s a real shame the company has so many internal issues as 90 Seconds has the potential to be something truly great in the industry. I hope one day they can learn to take on feedback and make a change for the good.

Pros

Really struggling to think of anything positive about the experience.... - met some nice colleagues who also left/were forced out.

Cons

- toxic, bullying, public shaming culture - incompetent, arrogant CEO - weak, 'yes-men' senior leadership team who have no backbone and are too afraid to stand up to the CEO - constant redundancies due to apparent insane cash burn and zero growth. - Insane staff turnover due to toxic culture (many employee disputes and legal battles as well) - company going downhill. probably won't be around in 12 months.
