Pros

A handful of smart, driven, capable, hard working, and committed people who are customer focused. A business concept and model that has sustainable market presence and opportunity.

Cons

Executives demonstrate a passive aggressive elitism that stifles innovation, productivity, decision making, and problem solving. Promotions are handed out like candy to the most incompetent among us. Customers get lost in the shuffle of egos and incompetence. As band aids abound, employees are told how benevolent management is. Quality employees leave at an alarming rate. New hires seem to stay just long enough to figure out there is little hope for change and not much of a future. The front door is a turnstile. Our last two CEOs have surrounded themselves with senior level managers who are capable of very little, but agree with whatever the boss says. It seems to be a condition of promotion. The last one was blatant and in your face about it. The current one thinks he's kinder, gentler, more clever and smarter than the rest of us, while he continues down the same path. The two CEOs can't stand one another. Each thinks the other is narcissistic jerk. It might be the only area where I would find agreement with the two of them. Integrity is in short supply. Compensation is promised (in writing) and then retracted without notice. Turns out, it was all a misunderstanding on the employees part. This once formidable company is in serious decline.

Pros

Still remote or hybrid work after Covid

Cons

The new engineering management talked a good game at first, but they are destroying this place. Their micromanagement tactics and insane expectations are making it very stressful and toxic. They use "agile in name only" processes and a desire for "accountability" to justify scrutinizing story points and sprint plans. Then they send long, insulting emails as they trivialize the work that is required. They desperately need great engineers, but they have recently pushed out some of our better seniors who were doing amazing work to move us forward. My suspicion is they don't really want the quality they say they do and are intentionally being jerks to people who are well-paid so that they leave, hoping to push even more of the work to offshore teams (which have been very painful to work with). This is no longer a safe place for my neurodiverse colleagues. It's now safer to voice an opinion here than in our own team meetings. I agree with a recent reviewer. I will be avoiding any companies purchased by New Mountain Capital (the private equity firm that bought 3E and installed this new management).

Pros

Great people to work with. Very dedicated employees

Cons

Terrible President/CEO. He joined the company in 2014 and has been so bias to men over women that most senior executives and middle executives have resigned. He asked our opinion but the blasts us when we gave it. He has created an environment of fear and most e,players are afraid to give their opinion or be fired for doing so.
