Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials, a subsidiary of specialty chemicals giant Rohm and Haas, operates through two business segments. Its Electronic Technologies unit itself is made of three product lines. The semiconductor tchnologies unit makes chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) products, which create flawless chip surfaces, and photoresists. The circuit board technologies division manufactures chemicals and materials for printed circuit boards. The last is packaging and finishing technologies, which makes coatings for integrated circuit packaging and connectors. In 2007 the company created a new segment, Display Technologies, which concentrates Rohm and Haas' flat panel display products.
