Pyramid Breweries Snapshot
You don't need an archaeologist to explore this pyramid. Pyramid Breweries makes and sells small-batch, craft beers and ales (both year-round and seasonal; many of them wheat beers) under the Pyramid and MacTarnahan's brand names. Its breweries are located in Seattle; Portland, Oregon; and Berkeley, California. In addition to making beer, the company serves it as well. It operates five alehouse restaurants, one each in Portland and Seattle, as well as in Walnut Creek, Berkeley, and Sacramento, California. Pyramid was acquired by craft brewer, Magic Hat in 2008. In 2010 Rochester, New York-based North American Breweries acquired Pyramid and Magic Hat when it bought their parent company Independent Brewers United Inc.
