As Engineering Manager, you will be a key leader within our Auckland business, partnering closely with the Auckland Location Manager and supporting the wider New Zealand operations. You will lead the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, playing a pivotal role in shaping successful project outcomes and driving excellence across safety, quality, and performance.
This role is focused on heavy industry, energy, and water infrastructure delivery, with accountability for the performance of both minor works and the engineering leadership of major projects.
What you’ll do
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams (20+ staff) across complex project portfolios across concept, FEED and detailed design
- Drive delivery performance, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and aligned to our high quality standards
- Provide technical and delivery leadership across Water, Power/Electrification, BESS, Solar, Industrial, and Energy sectors
- Act as a trusted leader, building capability and strengthening team performance
- Drive business improvements across project delivery, tenders, execution, and technical resourcing
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience within a Tier 1 engineering consultancy, with a strong track record in New Zealand
- Degree-qualified in Engineering
- Proven leadership experience managing large engineering teams (20+ staff)
- Strong track record delivering FEED and detailed design across complex projects
- Demonstrated multi-disciplinary leadership capability
- Strong commercial acumen and delivery mindset
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills
- Experience in schedule management, risk management, and value engineering
- A strong commitment to safety in design and quality outcomes
