Full-Stack Developer — Job Description

Position summary

Design, build, and maintain end-to-end web applications by developing both frontend and backend components, integrating databases and services, ensuring performance, security, and a smooth user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Application development: Implement frontend and backend features from requirements through deployment using modern stacks (e.g., React/Vue/Angular + Node.js/Java/C#/Python/Ruby).
• API design &* integration:* Design, document, and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs; integrate third‑party services and internal microservices.
• Database design &* management:* Model, implement, and optimize relational (Postgres, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) data stores; write efficient queries and migrations.
• Frontend engineering: Build responsive, accessible UIs with state management, client-side routing, and performance optimization.
• DevOps &* deployment:* Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Testing &* QA:* Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests; maintain test suites and ensure high code quality.
• Performance &* scalability:* Profile applications, optimize latency and throughput, and design systems for scale and reliability.
• Security &* compliance:* Implement secure coding practices, authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT), input validation, and data protection measures.
• Documentation &* collaboration:* Produce technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and work closely with product managers, designers, and QA.
• Maintenance &* monitoring:* Triage production issues, implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing), and perform routine maintenance and refactoring.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building production web applications (varies by seniority).
• Proficiency in at least one frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue) and one backend language/platform (Node.js/Express, Django/Flask, Ruby on Rails, Spring, .NET).
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS (including preprocessors), and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and ORMs.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and modern development workflows.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and serverless patterns.
• Strong testing discipline with tools like Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Prior work with CI/CD systems, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and performance tuning.

Pay: $5,265.43 – $6,673.77 per month
