Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity
We’re looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our Payroll Services team in Hamilton. Reporting to the Operations Lead, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services, while supporting continuous improvement and system optimisation.
This role is available on a 12-month fixed term basis offering full time hours.
A few areas of focus will be to:

Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery

Support and optimise time & attendance systems (including Kronos), maintaining high data integrity

Investigate and resolve payroll queries, providing clear and expert guidance to stakeholders

Administer ACC claims, including weekly compensation calculations and reconciliations
-
Maintain employee master data and ensure high-quality payroll records
-
Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and transformation initiatives

Support audits, compliance activities, and risk management processes

Partner closely with internal stakeholders to deliver a strong customer experience and business outcomes

Experience working in a busy, deadline-driven environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex information in a clear and supportive way
