At Intergroup, we’re one of New Zealand’s leading providers of Industrial and Infrastructure services. Our trucks operate nationwide and are embedded in communities every day. Whether it’s maintaining critical infrastructure, supporting essential services, or responding when it matters most, our people are at the heart of keeping New Zealand moving.
We’re looking for a sharp, curious Financial Analyst to help turn data into insight and insight into action. Our business is built on two core pillars: people and plant. That means we care just as much about the wellbeing and performance of our teams as we do about the efficiency, reliability, and growth of our operations.
This is not a back-office reporting role. You’ll be at the centre of decision-making—working closely with leaders across the business to understand performance, identify opportunities, and guide smarter choices.
What you’ll do:
Analyse financial and operational data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities
Build and maintain models that support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning
Partner with operational teams to translate numbers into practical insights
Develop dashboards and reports that actually get used (and understood)
Support strategic initiatives with clear, data-driven recommendations
Challenge assumptions and bring a fresh perspective to business decisions
What we’re looking for:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data clearly
Experience in financial analysis, modelling, or a similar role
You would be working towards
Commercial mindset—you understand how numbers connect to real-world outcomes
Confidence to engage with stakeholders and influence decisions
Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus
A proactive approach—you don’t just report on problems, you help solve them
If you’re someone who enjoys digging into data, asking “why?”, and helping a business make better decisions every day, we’d like to hear from you.
