PX Trading Limited is a New Zealand trading business specialising in the sale of fresh meat and related products. The company is committed to providing high-quality beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and other meat products to local customers while maintaining high standards of food safety, product quality, and customer service. We are looking for a distribution Manager to joint our team.

Work hours: Minimum 30 hours /week maximum 50 hours

Job description:

Tasks Include:

• Planning, coordinating and monitoring the procurement, storage, inventory control and distribution of meat products and other trading goods.
• Coordinating the distribution of products to restaurants, wholesale customers and retail shops to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Monitoring stock levels and preparing inventory replenishment plans to maintain adequate stock while minimising storage costs and product wastage.
• Liaising with suppliers, freight companies and transport providers to coordinate the timely receipt and delivery of goods.
• Coordinating customer orders, delivery schedules and dispatch activities to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.
• Overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, stock rotation and dispatch of products in accordance with company procedures and food safety requirements.
• Monitoring inventory records and stock movements to maintain accurate inventory control and efficient product distribution.
• Supervising the Driver and other distribution related staff, allocating daily duties and monitoring performance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Reviewing distribution processes and implementing practical improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
• Reporting operational performance, inventory status and distribution activities to the Director and recommending improvements where appropriate.

Requirements:

At least 2 years work experience in the same industry or Bachelor degree in the related field.

Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate the supply, storage, inventory control, and distribution of goods.
