As a Technical Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our integration and digital engineering initiatives. Acting as both a hands-on architect and a strategic leader, you will guide teams, make key technical decisions, and help define solutions that deliver real value for our customers.
You’ll tackle complex, enterprise-scale challenges, working closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Your leadership will uplift best practices, foster innovation, and ensure our technology strategy aligns with business goals.
We advocate for T-Shaped teams, where you will engage in all facets of engineering throughout your day. We are seeking developers with a diverse mix of technical skills to support the following activities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide architectural leadership and technical direction across projects
- Develop and implement technology strategies that align with business objectives
- Guide and mentor engineering teams, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
- Design, maintain, and develop scalable API applications and integration solutions
- Oversee modernization of legacy systems and adoption of new technologies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Lead troubleshooting, optimization, and performance tuning efforts
- Champion the use of CI/CD, automation, and modern engineering practices
- Ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and reporting across environments
- Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and knowledge sharing
Ō Pūkenga | About you
We’re looking for a senior technical leader who brings both depth of engineering expertise and the confidence to guide others through complex delivery. You’ll be someone who can step back to shape the bigger picture, while still being comfortable getting close to the detail when needed.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving challenging integration problems, influencing technical direction, and helping teams lift the quality, reliability, and scalability of the solutions they deliver.
- 10+ years of professional experience across software development, solution architecture, and technical leadership
- Strong hands-on capability in .NET technologies, including C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, REST APIs, and integration patterns
- Experience modernising legacy systems, such as WCF services, and designing scalable, future-fit solutions
- Proven ability to make sound technical decisions and guide successful delivery in complex environments
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to connect technology choices to business outcomes and customer value
- Confident communicator who can engage effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders
- A natural coach and mentor who enjoys uplifting engineering capability and encouraging best practice
- Familiarity with CRM systems, integration projects, version control tools such as Git, and modern delivery practices
- A curious, improvement-focused approach and a genuine passion for technical excellence
