This established project management consultancy has a strong opportunity for a capable Project Manager to join their Auckland team.
The business is recognised for delivering high-quality, complex projects across the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors, with a strong pipeline of repeat work from long-standing clients. Their portfolio includes significant projects across Auckland, and they are known for combining technical expertise with a collaborative, delivery-focused approach.
This role is suited to a Project Manager with consultancy construction experience in New Zealand and excellent communication. You will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end from early design and planning through to construction delivery and handover, while working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors across all stages.
The Role:
- Lead and manage projects from inception through to completion and handover
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted long-term relationships
- Coordinate consultants and contractors across all project phases
- Develop and manage project programmes, delivery methodology and reporting
- Take responsibility for budgets, forecasting, cost control and risk management
- Chair project meetings and ensure clear, proactive communication across stakeholders
- Support delivery of high-quality outcomes across healthcare, education and commercial projects
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment alongside experienced senior leaders
- Gain mentorship and development opportunities toward more senior leadership roles
This is a hands-on consultancy role with strong client exposure, offering the opportunity to develop both technical and commercial capability while working closely with experienced industry leaders.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–10+ years’ project management experience within a New Zealand construction Project Management Consultancy
- Proven ability to deliver projects end-to-end across commercial, healthcare, education or similar sectors
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills
- Sound understanding of construction methodology, project delivery, and procurement processes
- Experience with NZ3910 contract administration
- Ability to manage budgets, programmes and risk with confidence
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or similar
- Excellent communication skills to lead a team and command a room
