Senior Full‑Stack Engineer — Job Description

Overview Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable web applications across frontend and backend; mentor engineers and drive architecture, reliability, and product-quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement end-to-end features spanning frontend, backend, and data layers.
• Build scalable, secure APIs and backend services (microservices, serverless, or monolith as appropriate).
• Develop responsive, accessible UIs with modern frontend frameworks and state management.
• Own system design: performance, scalability, observability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing (unit, integration, e2e), code quality, and release practices.
• Mentor and review code for mid/senior engineers; promote best practices and technical standards.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and SRE to translate requirements into deliverables and trade-offs.
• Lead technical roadmaps, perform architecture reviews, and contribute to technical strategy.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform postmortems, and implement long-term fixes.
• Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance requirements are met.
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and team culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience building production web applications (adjustable to 7+ for senior/lead roles).
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language and ecosystem (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, Ruby, etc.) and in SQL/no‑SQL databases.
• Deep experience with frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) and modern JS/TS tooling, bundlers, and testing frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems, APIs (REST/GraphQL), caching, message queues, and background processing.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: design patterns, data structures, algorithms, security, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication, ownership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience leading engineering teams or projects.
• Domain knowledge: payments, healthcare, e‑commerce, real‑time systems, or ML infra.
• Experience with TypeScript full‑stack (Next.js/NestJS), event‑driven architectures, and observability-driven development.
• Open-source contributions or published technical content.

Pay: $8,750.43 – $12,083.54 per month
