Hei Oranga Iwi | The opportunity
As a Manager within our Risk Consulting practice, you'll play a pivotal role in leading internal audit and broader risk engagements, helping clients strengthen their risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
In this role, you'll also gain valuable exposure to risk remediation projects, including Holidays Act compliance, where you'll contribute to some of New Zealand’s most complex and high-impact remediation work. This is a fantastic opportunity to diversify your experience beyond traditional internal audit engagements.
This is a permanent, full-time, onsite position based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities
Lead and manage internal audit and risk consulting engagements from planning to execution and reporting. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
Provide insights and practical recommendations to enhance clients’ risk management, control, and governance processes, while ensuring compliance with internal audit standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
Support the delivery of risk remediation programs, including engagements related to NZ Holidays Act compliance and payroll risk. Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting professional growth.
Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
5 – 10 years’ experience in internal audit, risk advisory, or a similar function, with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capability.
Demonstrated leadership in managing projects and teams.
Experience in professional services or within a large, complex organisation. Ability to manage budgets and oversee the delivery of high-quality internal audit and risk outputs.
We would also value the following:
Exposure to Holidays Act remediation or payroll-related risk engagements.
New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. Professional accreditations such as CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP, CPA, CISA, or CA.
