Interviewed for a Product Engineer position.
The process started with an initial call with the recruiter, which went smoothly. I then had a technical call with an engineer that actually overran beyond the scheduled 30 minutes, which I took as a positive sign. The conversation itself went very well — I was able to answer all questions comfortably, and my skills and experience aligned closely with both the job description and what they described they were trying to build (which was fairly standard for the role).
After that call, however, I didn’t hear anything back. I was eventually forced to follow up via email, only to receive a generic rejection response stating I wasn’t a fit, with no specific feedback.
