Interview
I applied online. Someone reached out to me within about a week to request I record a video introduction and complete sample exercise. I was very surprised to be asked for a work product before meeting anyone and the exercise was for a real, upcoming event and was very substantial in scope (at least 5 hours of work). I was unwilling to do that amount of unpaid work for a real, upcoming work situation before knowing more about the role/team/org so I declined to move forward.

Question 1
● Create an agile-based Asana board that tracks this project and all the tasks/deliverables, milestones, and deadlines that need to happen from start to finish. Assume that everything is new and being built from scratch, and assign task/milestone name, due date, priority stage, time estimated and any comments as needed.
● Create a minute-by-minute lesson plan for one BIG program weekend topic of your choice (45 minutes total). (No formal presentation needed.) The topic should cover one module of what a BIG founder needs to learn in our pre-accelerator program.
● Write an email to an investor inviting them to be a mentor for one of these programs.

Interview
This process took like 3 months. It takes so much time and preparation which is very unnecessary. After you go through 4 interviews that include timed projects I received an offer and the salary was not competitive so I negotiated and they abruptly rescinded their offer.

Question 1
Questions during interviews weren't necessarily uncommon, all standard questions but it's the amount of time it takes that's truly inconsiderate. Especially after then receiving an offer that's not competitive for the industry, the experience required, and job description. Furthermore, it also didn't include any PTO besides the office being closed the last week of December. I was really shocked that an organization that stands for women would even consider giving out this offer.
