I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at athenahealth (Atlanta, GA) in Dec 2021
Interview
I applied for this role in early December same day it was posted and within two days of applying a recruiter reached out to me via email to step up a phone screen. After the phone screen, I was told my resume would be sent to the hiring manager to see if they wanted to move forward with an interview. I was told I'd hear something within 2 working days. I ended up hearing back the next day that they wanted to move forward. A video interview date was set for the following day and a written test was sent also. The interview was with two Managers and several behavioral health questions which I answered using STAR method. The interview lasted an hour. The managers were very friendly. They let me know that with the upcoming holidays i wouldn't hear back till the beginning of next year due to holidays but not to worry. I heard back maybe 3 weeks later with enough time to put in a proper two-week notice with my current employer.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at athenahealth (Jersey City, NJ) in Dec 2020
Interview
I was referred by an employee. I started the process in December and overall took 1 month, taking into consideration the winter holidays in the middle.
It was an hour-long virtual interview with 2 department managers.
They were all behavioral questions. Although the interviewers intended to make me feel comfortable, what I didn't particularly enjoy is that it seemed that they were looking for very specific answers, almost like keywords that you should include in your answers. This is something hard to do when all the questions start with 'tell me about a time...'
For this position, in particular, they were interested in knowing about some skills like Communication, Financial Analysis (how to communicate value), teamwork, etc. They didn't seem very interested in knowing about my aspirations or where I wanted to go with this role. Overall, it felt very tiring and repetitive. The interviewers didn't leave enough room for questions, only 5 rushed minutes at the end of the interview.

I also had to submit a pre-assignment 1 day before the interview, an email response to a typical customer service scenario.
