I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at athenahealth (New York, NY)
Interview
Very low IQ product team, most of them have not worked in any tech based product company before , they confuse process for product and use the term give me a jugad solution during the interview.
Sad the company has not invested in product team considering they want to capture healthcare market in US .
The interview panel was interrupting every 10 seconds and was not letting me complete my proposal . It was a three member team and one of them atleast walked out every 30 minutes for a call.
Overall immature, zero listening skills, short term thinking pattern and poor leadership skills.
Excellent and enlightening experience with each round.
1st round senior product manager screening
2nd round case study round
Followed by 4 rounds of discussion with Product and Engineering directors around various PM competencies
Disorganized--4 rounds including case study (final round) and then no offer with no feedback. I truly liked the recruiter and people I met with so I was hoping it was just a bumpy path to a role I would enjoy. I felt they would forget there was a hiring process and then suddenly want to urgently coordinate another round.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at athenahealth in Oct 2025
Interview
Screener call, 30 minute recruiter call, one hour long manager call and two more 30 minute SME/VIP chats. A few 'what-if' scenarios, but completely practical and easy to navigate. There was good communication during the setting up for interviews but went radio silent after the last interview. Just saw the listing was taken down some time after.
