I applied online and two days later the TA Manager reached out wanting to set up an initial phone call. We went over the usual — background, interest in the company/role, comp expectations, interview process/timelines, and other logistics. Call went really well, they mentioned liking my background/experience and that they’d be recommending me for the next step with the hiring manager, senior director.
Two days after that I received an email asking for availability for the virtual call, which was then scheduled for a week after. The call went really well, conversation style with someone who made the call feel chill. Went through my background and they peppered in questions of things they wanted to hear more of. I asked a few questions, a couple of them they found really insightful. The HM was forthcoming and transparent about the role, expectations, etc. Really appreciated that. After the call I wrote a thank you email to them and circled back with the TA Manager letting them know how the call went. TA replied that they also received positive feedback from the HM and the next step wouldn’t be for another 3 weeks. A week later they reached out first to keep me in the loop about how things were going on their end and then a day later to ask for availability to schedule the last step — panel interview — in 2 weeks.
Before the panel I decided to withdraw after thinking it over. The move isn’t right at this moment. Everyone, however, was super nice. Really enjoyed the conversations.
