They’ll contact you to do their work for them — don’t be surprised, because that’s exactly what happened to me. I applied for a Senior Frontend Developer position. I had a call with HR, then a technical interview, which I passed, and they sent me a task. The task was quite big (Design full page width responsive design using jinja) and clearly meant to take about a week — they were the ones who set the one-week deadline. I thought, “It’s a big, reputable company, they wouldn’t do anything shady,” so I did it anyway. I finished the task, sent it by email — and got no reply. A week later, I sent a follow-up email — still nothing. I called the HR — before I even mentioned the position, she said “we’re still in process.” Once I told her which role it was, she said “I’ll check and get back to you by email.” Another week passed… still no response.
