I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ZIG (NC) in Nov 2022
Interview
My first interview with the recruiter was great, she thought I would be a great fit, the second interview was with his assistant. She was professional, friendly, and engaged and seemed impressed by my background. She gave great feedback to the recruiter and I was then moved on to interview with the CEO, Aaron Zucker. He was ten minutes late to the zoom interview and immediately started off by asking "Why am I talking to you?’ He made it very clear he had zero interest in interviewing me. Despite this, I remained professional and attempted to build rapport and engage with him, detailing my experience and why I thought i would be a good fit. However, throughout the interview, he asked barely any questions, was completely disengaged, bordering on rude and seemed eager to get off of the call. I have never had such a bad experience at an interview and I felt really disrespected and dismissed. He also mentioned that my experience "does not matter" and he would just as well hire someone just out of college for the position. Overall, an extremely unpleasant experience and frankly very disappointing. His feedback for me via the recruiter the next day was that I was unprepared however I had spent an hour the night before researching his company and even asked him about some things directly from his website, but he didn't even seem to know what was on his website and didn’t bother to ask me any questions to see if I was prepared. I’ve had a lot of interviews over the years and this is the only one I’ve felt the need to write about so as to warn other potential hires what to expect. Worst and most unprofessional interview ever.
