I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yelp (New York, NY)
Interview
Following an initial application submission Yelp will contact you in order to schedule a preliminary phone interview. Once you have scheduled your phone interview you will receive a second email clueing you in on what the phone interview will entail.
The recruiter I talked with in the phone interview asked fairly straight forward questions. What do I know about yelp, what product would I be selling, what do I visualize as the day to day tasks of the position, how would I deal with customer rejection; these were the bulk of the interview questions.
Easy interview, however, I did not receive an invitation to a second interview. I believe your delivery of the necessary information is the most important factor in this interview. If i were to interview again I would trim the fat on my delivery and relax a bit more.

Question 1
How would your react to being turned down by leads or potential clients?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
