Pretty smooth process, started with talking to HR and passing some questionnaire, then a average technical interview and then interview with the team which I was about to work with.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yandex (Moscow, Moskva) in Mar 2017
Interview
It was an informal 1-hour skype technical interview with coding (JS) tasks. Interviewer asked 3 questions, online code editor was used.
No offer. Mostly because I was unaware of algorithmic questions - thanks to "not-really-in-it" HR from recruiting company.
So as an advice - improve your knowledge of algorithms and data structures before you apply.
