I was referred by a former employee and came in for an interview after having completed an internship with the #1 advertising agency. The first interview was with the original owner and a marketing director. The second interview (the following week) was with the original owner and a buy-in partner. When I was offered the position, I told them the pay I was expecting. They offered significantly lower and I negotiated. They called me and asked me to drive back to the office to discuss the pay I wanted. They did not budge and had me drive down just to tell me "no".
