We had a short email exchange. They were curious about my experience with hunting, fishing, outdoors. They set up an interview time, then pushed back the time at the last minute. Their office is located on the third floor of an older building and when I arrived, I had to go in through the kitchen since that was the entrance to the office. The whole office was pitch black and about 6-9 people seemed to be in stupor, working on their computers. The interview was with myself and two men, one of which was the managing editor and the other I am assuming was their HR guy. They were dressed very casual, one guy was in a hoodie, so I think I did myself a disservice by wearing slacks, heels, and silk button down. The HR guy asked most of the questions, pretty basic, wanting to know my work experience, if I knew WordPress, my availability. He asked if I would be able to train Mon-Fri 9-5 for a few days and I said that I would need to speak with my supervisor about requesting time off. Their energy shifted immediately and I got the feeling that they were looking for someone who was not already employed and working full time. After that, the managing editor said he would send me some documents to edit, so he could review my skill level. I checked my email almost every hour for the next 4 days. He never sent it. About a week later I received a rejection email.
