I applied online. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (New York, NY)
Interview
I applied online on the company website. Two days late I received a call from an employee, on that call they immediately gave me a phone interview. They asked me what I do at my current job, why I want to work at whole foods, and what does customer service mean to me. At the end of the interview the interviewer advised me to find out more information about the company and invited me to a group interview. The group interview was at the end of that week and it was an intense two hour process. There was about 40 people in the groups. They had each of us answer four Introductory questions about our self. Name, favorite food/activity related to food, why do you want to work at whole foods as opposed to other retailers, why now, and what's your position. (At this point you have to try your best to stand out amongst the others so say something memorable) . After that they made us get into groups. In the the first group presentation we had to describe what customer service meant to us, describe a time when we received bad customer service, and give examples of poor customer service and present it to the class in the group. In the second group presentation we were given a list of the companies core values, We had to pick a value and creates a 30 second commercial for that value and a slogan. After that we were told we would get a call back within the next week if they were interested, I did get a call back and I'm awaiting my interview later on this week, I am very confident that I will receive the job because I am l l know a lot of information about the company and I have years of cash handling experience
