I applied for the QA position then heard back a few weeks later that they were in need of some Customer Service Reps, so I applied for that position. Shortly after, the HR manager did a phone screening.
Surprisingly, I got an email from the HR manager within a day asking me to look at a different position that they felt I would be a better fit for. I believe it's the first time I have had an HR manager take the time to look at my resume and actually do their best to find a position I would work best in.
Both interviews were very laid-back and informative. Each interview was between two managers and myself. While they had some specific questions they didn't follow the typical worksheet style interview where they ask a question and write down the answer. It felt more personal and they seemed more interested in my skills, experience, and personality, rather than just the usual generic interview questions most companies use.
I came in for an interview for a Community Recruitment position, then a week later for the Customer Service Rep position. About an hour later I was sent an offer for the Customer Service position. Then, on my first day I was pulled aside and told they had decided my skills and experience would work best for an Account Coordinator position, and that would be the actual job I got.
I honestly don't mind the shuffling around and multiple interviews. It shows they are truly invested in making sure who they hired can work at their full potential and beyond.
