The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart in Jun 2011
Interview
I applied, I got a call back a week later, set up an interview date and time. I got there, no one knew i was supposed to be there, finally got a hold of who was supposed to be interviewing me. Go through first interview and pass. Interview consisted of going over pre-filled forms, doing one on one "tell me a time when you had to do such and such and tell me how you achieved your goal" etc. lasted about 30 minutes. a couple days later i got a call to another interview. Went in, once again I had to hunt down the guy who was supposed to interview me. Not even two or three minutes in, very abruptly he ends the interview and says he will be in contact with me.
a month goes by, during which I am calling the store three or four times a week. Finally went up there and demanded to know what happened (was expecting interview 3) lady says the computer has no record of me ever having the interview #2!! the guy who interviewed me pretty much blew me off and didn't put anything in the computer!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (San Jacinto, CA) in Oct 2013
Interview
Interview was straight forward and led by the supervisor of your position.
Most interviews are quite short and conducted as the supervisor has time during the day to complete it. You may also meet other supervisors or managers depending on what position you are applying for.
I had two interviews, but your experience may be different. You may get an offer during the interview or via phone call.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Natchitoches, LA) in Jan 2013
Interview
It was a 3 step process that took approximately 2 weeks. It wasn't 1 on 1 with the hiring process. It was mainly 3 people in each interview. The interviewers asked mainly scenario question about how would you handle certain situations.
