I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart Global Tech (New York, NY) in Feb 2021
Interview
After applying, I was referred to an online coding assessment. You needed to complete like 4 different coding problems under a time limit
After finishing that, I was given a take home assessment to do involving interacting with a Walmart API, and then building out a full React front end to display the data. This took a few days of development time as I was working a full time job still, but I completed it and submitted it.
After submitting, I was invited to schedule a meeting with the hiring manager who mentioned they actually hadn't looked at my take home assessment at all even though they usually do, and instead I just had to explain it. We talked for a while and they mentioned they would be in touch.
After this meeting, I never heard anything from the company again even after sending a few follow up emails. One of the most unprofessional processes I've been apart of, especially after being required to do a take home assessment for basically, and never hearing back from them again. Start to finish the process was over a month long..
It starts with some basic Java/Springboot/Kafka (producer and consumer etc.) questions, and then use Google docs to write 3 Leetcode questions(Easy to Medium) about String and HashMaps. Took around 40 mins.

Interview
I passed all the interviews only to be told at the end that they didn't have the budget. It took about 2 months. It was probably delayed because of budgeting issues.

Interview
My interview began with an introductory call with the hiring manager, followed by a technical round led by an engineering lead, who probed system design, coding approach, and problem-solving communication.
