Two detailed interviews with a panel of supervisors and team members. Process was efficient and thorough, as well as thought provoking questions asked to determine problem solving skills. Interviews occurred one week apart and HR was able to follow up with details for hiring.

I first had an introductory call with HR then had a four person panel interview with technical talk where scientists grilled about research and administrator asked behavioral questions. (considered for two different positions)
