- HR Meeting
- Hiring manager meeting -> behaviour questions
- Take home project - you need to do this within 4hours, no more (brief states). But they want perfection to be done within those 4hours. You need to build the app from scratch and be grilled on why it's imperfect. If interviewers are nitpicking on a project you worked on for 4 hours, without being provided any boilerplates, it's pretty much a red flag. As it shows the toxic characteristics of these interviewers/judges.
- Walking through your take home project
I personally wouldn't recommend working for Veed after this poor experience.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at VEED.IO in Feb 2021
Interview
First stage was a screening video call: high level aspirations, working practices, examples of such. Second stage was a technical take home challenge, roughly 3h. I was told I would have a call to go through my work to explain rationale etc, and to give and receive feedback. However I instead received a rather blunt email weeks later. When chasing it up, I was given the feedback: "I thought his code was a bit weird". Would not recommend, seems like a very unprofessional enviornment, where lead engineer(s) have been allowed to stagnate and become comfortable. Am now working in an environment where professionals are acknowledged.

Question 1
What book have you read recently that inspired you?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at VEED.IO in Sept 2022
Interview
The interview process was very relaxed from the start and throughout. Consisted of a few different stages with various different people and a tech test. The tech test was well put together, enough complexity available to show what you can do but not overly difficult or algorithmic. The interview process was handled smoothly, I was kept up to date regularly and didn't have to wait very long between stages.
