I recently interviewed for an Admin Assistant position and had a very disappointing experience. Despite applying for a role that clearly involves email and calendar management, the interview questions were completely unrelated to the job. At no point was I asked about my relevant experience or administrative skills.
The interview felt more like a rushed speed-dating session than a professional assessment. The recruiter continuously interrupted candidates, didn’t allow us to fully answer questions, and seemed to be looking for very specific responses—regardless of whether they were relevant to the position. It was clear that if you didn’t say exactly what they were hoping to hear, they had no interest in engaging further.
To make matters worse, I was surprised to see the term *"Limited English Proficiency"* in the follow-up communication, despite the fact that I’m C2 certified in English. This felt both inaccurate and unprofessional.
Overall, the process felt disorganized and dismissive. I left the interview confused and disappointed, but in hindsight, I believe I may have dodged a bullet. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company to others seeking a professional and respectful hiring process.
