If the submitted CV is shortlisted, candidates get a call from HR, followed by an in-person interview at the Mahim office with team members, and then a conversation with the director before final selection happens. Till this point, things are fine.
But after passing the interview, I got a call saying I was selected and was asked if I accepted the offer. After requesting multiple times for something in writing, only a very basic email was finally sent. This email was treated as the “offer letter,” but no official PDF was provided, and nothing to sign. HR just called and asked, “Do you accept?” And when I said I’d like some time to go through it, I was told, “It will hardly take 5 minutes, call me today only.”
The perks and benefits were only shared verbally. When I asked for a proper document listing everything clearly, I was told, “We will give the employee contract 7 days after joining, that you will have to sign, which will give you all the details.” I was also told that they don’t provide formal PDF offer letters as per “company policy.”
Every time I sent an email asking for written confirmation or clarity, I immediately received a phone call instead; just spoken words, no replies in writing which I assume was to prevent leaving a trail. WhatsApp messages were also avoided. At one point, I was told, “Nobody has had a problem till now.”
When I pushed again for proper documentation, I got another call with responses like, “What clarity you want?” and “I’m telling you na.” This went on for several minutes, and eventually ended with, “We hire for every role like this only.”
Due to the complete lack of documented evidence and refusal to provide anything in writing, I had to decline the offer.
