Very strange, to be honest. Their office is set up specifically just for interviewing. There are no computers, no work happening besides interviewing candidates all day. They will not directly answer about compensation or what exactly the job entails. They have one single client. They sell backpacks for the client to give to children in poverty, wonderful yes. Basically after asking many questions about what to expect, the hiring manager got very uncomfortable…As if I was onto them. I was asking standard questions a person would in any interview. But, I asked what the turnover rate was. She said “Well most the people here are college kids who gain experience and move on so yes I mean that’s probably why we have a turnover rate”. She would not answer my questions about if the compensation rate was hourly or commission. She was maybe about 22 years old. I could see she was visibly disappointed to learn that I have a family at home. Their full time position is Monday thru Saturday, 10-7. No exceptions. Felt like a scam to be honest, as if they’re constantly having young gullible people work for them without having to compensate them properly. You have to drive all over Fort Worth after meeting for a one hour training every morning. They do not pay mileage or for your time. She made herself seem very naive when she said “ we don’t compensate, but we save your gas receipts for you so you can write them off”… um… people don’t need their company to do that for them, that is on the individual. . It was super strange. Don’t go unless you want to boost your confidence in the interview process for another, real job.
