I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Universal Protection Service (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
They asked me my previous experience. They had me write a brief report on what I saw around the office. I made sure it was extremely detailed. I came dressed in a full suit. I smiled immediately when shaking the interviewers hand, and told myself that I was just talking to someone that I have known for a long time. It goes a long way not to feel awkward, or nervous.

Interview
These guys will hire pretty much anyone over 18 without a criminal record. The key is to appear competent, but not to seem as smart as the manager. They employ sub-standard district managers and they are afraid of their employees standing up for themselves. If you seem like you'll do the job and not rock the boat, you're in. Also, if you're looking for a supervisor position, DO NOT let them hire you as a "security professional". I have only ever heard of one person being promoted to a supervisor's position. All the other vacancies were filled by new hires, even when there were more experienced and competent "security professionals" that were already trained at the job site.

Question 1
I was surprised at the district manager's hesitancy to hire anyone that appears intelligent or like they are capable of understanding the big picture.
