The process took two weeks. I applied on 2/17. I got an email the next day asking to set up a video interview through HireVue. Definitely set up good lighting and dress to impress. I used the practice questions, and although I didn't feel confidant, I got through the interview and it wasn't that bad. Practice the questions posted on this site, they're the exact same ones. I submitted my video interview on 2/21, I heard back on 2/24 and was invited to a F2F and they gave me a couple dates to choose from the following week. They paid for my flight, and I set up my own hotel for the night before.
Arrive between an hour to half an hour early. Dress to impress again. There was a group of 12 of us. After watching a brief slideshow about United and doing some Q&A's, we were then individually asked to speak to a recruiter. Thank god I was one of the first to be called. After 15-30 mins answering questions with a recruiter about basic situations(Tell me about a policy you didn't agree with at work, tell me about a challenging time at work, etc.) The recruiter either brings you back to the shuttle or brings you into a second interview room. At this point, there was 5 of us left. I was the first one to get chosen for the 2nd round of interviews, which included answering questions about the difficulty of the job by two higher up employees. That was intimidating. After that, they offered me the job, had me fill out some paperwork, and do a drug test. The whole thing took 3 hours, but I was lucky to be chosen first the 2nd round, the others had to wait one at a time.
